At 512 Lights, we believe brilliance should start long before the first bulb goes up.
From your first quote request to the final install, we’ve reimagined what it means to deliver lighting with polish, integrity, and total peace of mind. We don’t wait to be reminded, followed up with, or corrected. We’re proactive, thoughtful, and thorough, because the process should feel just as elevated as the final look.
The truth? We didn’t mean to start a lighting company.
We were just trying to get our own holiday lights installed here in Austin—and out of 15 companies we reached out to, only five responded. Just one sent a quote. It felt ridiculous.
And honestly? That’s been the experience with too many home service businesses.
So we built what we couldn’t find. 512 Lights was born out of frustration, and designed to be the opposite experience: reliable, respectful, and refreshingly professional.
We specialize in both seasonal magic and architectural lighting that lasts year-round—always using premium materials, design-led layouts, and a service model that puts you first.

Sam and Kyler have been friends for over a decade, and their long-standing trust, shared values, and deep respect for quality service are at the heart of 512 Lights. What started as friendship evolved into a partnership built on the belief that lighting should feel as thoughtful as it looks. Together, they’ve created a company that’s personal, dependable, and rooted in the joy of helping people feel proud of their homes—especially during the moments that matter most.
Sam Miles

Sam brings years of experience running a trusted service-based business in Austin, where communication, follow-through, and client satisfaction have always been top priorities. As someone who genuinely loves hosting and curating memorable environments, she knows how much lighting can elevate a space and create a feeling. With a passion for beautiful, well-run systems, Sam saw an opportunity to bring that same care and intentionality to seasonal and permanent lighting. Whether it’s for the holidays, special events, or everyday ambiance, her goal is for every client to feel confident, cared for, and proud to welcome others into their space.
Kyler Riley
Co-Founder, 512 Lights
Kyler launched his first lighting business in 2020 and quickly earned a reputation for craftsmanship, integrity, and getting the job done right. From the beginning, he’s been immersed in the world of lighting—honing his skills, mastering installation techniques, and developing a deep understanding of how design and safety come together to transform a space.
Now, as co-founder of 512 Lights, Kyler brings more than technical expertise—he brings vision. His work is rooted in the belief that lighting should make you feel something: proud to pull into your driveway, excited to host, and confident your home stands out for all the right reasons. Whether it’s warm, inviting hues or a custom design that’s uniquely yours, Kyler’s mission is to create lighting that feels both personal and unforgettable.
